Today was an interestingly productive day.  I made lots of new pieces.  Five in fact, but this blog is about the coolest one.  I made this chick to commemorate the figures of the past.  The union square fairies.  The fairies of union square park that I used to make were totally costume jewelry blinged out chicas.  They were usually smaller than this girl, but were created and actually enhanced by the use of the objects placed on them.  It adds an aspect of craft to the otherwise totally sculpted figures, but also distracts from the form.  I love doing figures all ways, and this may be a re-birth of an older way of making things, stay tuned!
Her name is Oleandra by the way.
