Throwing off a preexisting pot

Well for the first time I had the pleasure of trying to throw off of an already existing form which had set up on the wheel already, I simply added moist clay like a doughnut and threw from it, then refined the pot and trimmed it to shape.
I did not keep the end product, but it was a good practice.
