Glaze Shell

The shell is being glazed, how will it come out and why?  Like I stated, those glassy glazed works are for the mugs and teapots, my forms need a glaze that seals but doesnt conceal!  You will see... thinned down celedon.

Bisque Shell

So the shell is out of the bisque!  Whenever forms come out of the bisque safe and sound its a cause for celebration!  This work I nick named the shell because (in real life at least) it reminds one of a shell in its form and the way it cradles the sculptural forms on it.  The abstraction of the figure into the form of the vase suits these very "female" forms and this work of art will herald in the new age of arms as openings.

Cut Out

Another work for the reclaim bucket, this experimental vase actually was water-tight even with its diorama-esque cut out textured center.

Temoku

Hello

So here is the second work that was made

at Greenwich house pottery, I decided to glaze it with the Temoku

The work is another busy piece, made only busier with the addition of the thick
glass-like coating of glaze, so this is the LAST time I will glaze with normal application
Like low fire earthenware, surely the high fire glazes can be thinned to an almost non-existent layer of
glass just to seal the surface and allow for detail, and perhaps even differentiate the sculpted details from the thrown areas of the pot.
