Etsy
Whoo the etsy store is fully stocked, and new items are going to be added weekly (maybe even daily) in the coming days. I will not stop!! haha, and as they sell in life I will take them down off the internet.
What else? Oh, im thinking about selling my cold porcelain on the internet but cant decide whether to do it on the beautifulclayflowers etsy store or the minifigure one... the flower one makes more sense since the flowers are all made of it.
The figures below are sooooo tiny see how tiny they are in my hand.

Oh one last thing, I now have bumped down that archive menu and put up my etsy items there on the sidebar, and why not?? Cross promotion baby. Good things keep coming.

were rollin'
Ah, things are moving along quite nicely and happily.
Today I shipped some beautiful clay flowers out to New Mexico and have begun to populate my minifigure shop on etsy.
There they are, they will arrive perfectly I hope.
I have a dozen or more brand new figures ready to be listed on etsy, the only thing is to take the photographs and measure them and upload them to the shop. My shop was very very fun back in 2008 and so many sales were made, but afterwards it was hit and miss depending on whether I was promoting or even utilizing the site... well I plan on putting EVERYTHING on there, even the works I take out to street vend (they will of course have to be taken down after I sell them).
Oh the shop is here https://www.etsy.com/shop/minifigure in case you never checked it out but as of right now only two items remain... look through the old feedback to see the old stuff though kinda like a trip through memory lane.
So anyway, Im in love with brood II cicadas, they are friendly little fearless bugs who crawl on you and clumsily flutter about looking for someone to breed with. I have humanely collected (from road kill mostly) about 200 wings which is about 50 figures worth, so get them while you can, after that its like seventeen years before I will be able to collect these perfectly sized wings again. Check out some photos from the latest batch of winged beauties.

Now I will never get away with NOT calling them fairies, fae, faeries, fae folk, sprites, nymphs, because how can I hide behind the term "butterfly people" if there are no butterfly wings in sight? :)
All figures pictured cept for that tiny one are about 1.5" in height.

I've finally got my blog back!
Oh joy, the blog is finally MINE again. Yes, if you look back to like 2007 or whenever you can see this was my blog of all things me. That included all things art, mostly polymer clay but also ceramics which I had begun to take in college. Well... my immensely popular how to's and catalog of figurines was my pride and joy and I loved to ramble away... then came professionalism. I used the blog on my professional application to graduate school and also for some galleries so I only posted the ceramic vessels for a while. I also wrote less and less as my writings are stream of consciousness/creative writing style and not really edited or even thought about beforehand.
So, I finally have split my blog in two, all of the posts of the past were uploaded to the new blog at www.PedroRamirezArt.blogspot.com and so there and here at the butterfly people the exact same posts exist, but from this point on the polymer clay art will be posted here, and the ceramic art posted there. I will always love my mini figurines and love tiny things, dollhouse miniatures and the like and will not stop making or collecting and selling them, so here lies those objects. Its quite freeing actually, the PedroRamirezArt blog will accompany the website with the same name and the stuff here will likewise be for thebutterflypeople.com which I am going to buy hosting for soon as I am toally relaunching the etsy store minifigure and also street/park vending again this summer. Ah, to be free to just show off my little clay creations (which I was reserved to using my facebook art page to do so).
Check out the latest! Next time I will blog on and on about the cicadas and how wonderful they are and how I collected a bunch of wings.

The big cave
This is a new project im working on, it is hollow and will have a sanctum built inside which will be illuminated and glazed gold.
All Polished up and ready to go
Today I washed every bit of dust off of the Deer Goddess pot and polished her up in preparation for the show at First Street Gallery. Tomorrow I pick up the pedestal she will sit on.
